La Repressa

Now that I have a blog I wanted to share the experiences I had on my trips to the Dominican Republic.  Words can not describe the happiness I felt when I was there and how much I miss the precious blessings I met there.  We go on mission trips to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, but yet the brothers and sisters in Christ taught me so much while I was there.  I feel so blessed to of had the opportunity in college to go with an amazing group of college friends during our Spring Breaks and I am forever grateful for the experiences I have had there!  I came back with a broken heart that longed for those people that I had come to know in such a short time. Words cannot begin to express the heaviness on my heart to be there.  I am stunned at God's power and reminded that everything is in God's timing and He has a plan for me that is far better than anything I could ever imagine for myself, and He has that for you too.  I love living life trusting in my Savior.  All the glory goes to GOD!
Now here are some pictures:
"It's a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together!"
I am SO thankful to do what I LOVE to do as a career.  Teaching the kids in La Repressa was a wonderful experience.
This is my sweet friend Erickson.  This picture was taken my first trip to the DR.  I met him and fell in love with this little boy.  God is our ultimate guidance and 4 months after the first trip our church was calling sponsors for La Repressa.  Erickson was one of the children we could sponsor.  God is SO good and HE is the who who brought us together!  I am so thankful for this little boy.  Erickson and his family are a big part in my life.
If you are thinking about sponsoring, Vision Trust is a group of people with a passion to spread Gods love to the neediest children around the world.  You can visit there website by clicking Erickson's picture above.
